There are six levels of security in the BusWise System.
LEVEL 1 :
Effectively this is the level available when you have not yet logged-in to the System.
At this level you have access to the Help Menus, the Calendar and the standalone
Address Book modules. Any attempt to access any other Task will result in the message
-You are not logged in- or -You are not authorised to run this task-.
LEVEL 2 :
Specifically designed for Bus Drivers. This level will give Drivers the ability to
sign-on to their allocated shift for that day, print the Driver documentation for that
Shift ad view THEIR OWN Driver information. Any attempt to access other driver
information would not be successful.
LEVEL 3 :
This access is for normal operations staff and provides access to nearly all
information but will not allow the user to delete or change high level ( company, route,
shift, payroll ) information.
LEVEL 4 :
This user can changed, update or all to any company data but not any system sensitive
data such as the parameter control files.
LEVEL 5 :
Has complete access to anything other than the data secured for LEVEL 6 access.
LEVEL 6 :
This level is reserved for System development changes, program changes and or database
structural changes. The MySQL database system can only be accesses by Level 6 users
unless the System Administrator for the inhouse website is controlling the MySQL system.
This heirachy is structured for a need-to-know level of protection for the data in
BusWise and protects everyday users from selecting
any destructive Tasks by accident.
We believe that any business person is very aware of the importance of the company data
BUT we wish to stress that, not only does BusWise
provide a method of capturing all the data that is important to Operations it
optimises the use of the data, makes it easy to display or print and it is
VERY EASY to apply changes or additions. INVEST IN YOUR OWN SECURITY AND WELL-BEING.
